The Challenge

Good morning and Happy Sunday to everyone!

I am so glad you have joined me today. I could not wait to share my newest card and this great blog I found! When I saw the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #348, I was so excited! I could not wait to try my hand at a clean looking card using the above sketch. Here are the rules from Freshly Made Sketches blog:

We have a few simple rules to keep things fun and fair for all of our players:
  1. Please use any crafting product you would like to use.
  2. Feel free to combine our sketch with up to THREE other challenges, except another sketch challenge.
  3. Please add a DIRECT link to your blog or other online gallery when adding your card to the linky below.  If linking to a public gallery, please use keyword FMS348.
  4. Please include our sketch and a link back to Freshly Made Sketches on your post.
  5. Have fun!
This challenge will end at 3:00 PM EDT on Monday, August 6th. On Tuesday we will announce the winner of this week’s sketch challenge who will be known as the “Queen of Clean” and each Design Team Member will choose one “Princess”.

Photography aside, I am happy with my card. Simple yet fun. I hope you will try it too! I added the links to my Stampin’ Up!® Shop for the items I used. I would appreciate your support of my business. Remember that in August you will receive a $5 coupon (to use in September) for each $50 you spend so this is an awesome time to pick up the great Share What You Love DSP (146926), and new colors of ink and card stock!!
I love the new Stampin’ Up!® Petal Pink (ink 147108 /paper 146985) and Blackberry Bliss (ink 147092 / paper 133675) card stock & ink and the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Paper (146926) so what would be more natural than to put them together. As my base card I used the Petal Pink (146985) card stock. I decided to use the Quilt Top embossing folder (144687) on the Whisper White (100730) layer. I cut a square of the Petal Pink and then I used the Stitched Shaped Square (second from the smallest) ( 145372) for my 4 squares of the DSP (146926) to use on top.
I like to use Mini Glue Dots (103683) to attach embossed images to the base because they seem to hold the best. Although the Dots are not forgiving if you need to adjust your placement so be sure before you attach! So I attached my Whisper White (100730) layer with those. I attached the DSP squares (146926) (with Snail Adhesive (104332) to the Petal Pink (146985) square. Then I attached this portion to the Whisper White (100730) again using Mini Glue Dots (103683).
I used the Classic Label Punch (141491) to punch the strip for the sentiment. With this small of a label I like to punch it out first then stamp it but you could stamp first if you are more comfortable doing it that way. I stamped the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss (147092) ink using a stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set (Wood 146664/ Clear 146667). I attached  Blackberry Bliss (147092) the sentiment with Mini Dimensionals (144108)
I hope you find this challenge stimulates your creative side and that you will share what you come up with me and on the Freshly Made Sketches blog.
Happy Stampin’
LuAnn

Working with other Stampers in my Stampin' Up business is such a fine thing! I love all my customers both those whom are brand new to stamping or have been stamping for 20+ years! As a result of stamping for a bit, I have a wealth of beautiful, handmade greeting cards and gift card holders for your enjoyment. My hope is that each of you will give the gift of a hand made snail mailed card to a family member, friend or just someone who needs a lift. What a joy to receive something other than bills and junk mail in your mailbox!
