Hope your day is great! I am so glad you have joined me today. I have a fun and easy single layer card for you. This is one of the cards I had at my Saturday Sampler last Saturday.
My card base is 4 1/4″ X 11″ Coastal Cabana (131297) card stock. Score and fold at the 5 1/2″ mark. Stamp the front with Timeless Textures (wood 140514/ clear 140517) stamp set. I used Mint Macaron ink (147106) and the flourish stamp to stamp all over the front. Each time I stamped three times before re-inking. I criss-crossed around the card. As I stamped, I placed the darkest stampings across from each other to balance.
The Happy Birthday die (143700) and Basic Black (121045) card stock was used to cut the sentiment. I attached the sentiment using my trusty release paper method and Snail double-sided adhesive (104332). Remember to place the piece wrong side up on the release paper and only tape small areas of the back of the piece at a time. The piece is a little delicate and will rip so be really gentle.
My label was cut with Stitched Labels Framelits (146828) and my Big Shot (143263). The second sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black (132708). I sponged (141337) the edges of the label with Memento Tuxedo Black (132708). A Whisper White (100730) 4″ X 5 1/4″ rectangle was taped inside the card for any message.
What do you think? Pretty simple to make your own backgrounds using texture stamps…isn’t it? I love this Happy Birthday die and when you use my tape method to attach the piece to your card it’s fast and easy! I hope you will try and see how easy this is and share your results!
