Hi Friends,

How are you doing today? I am excited about the coming out of the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog Wednesday September 5th!! Do you have a copy yet? If you would like one just email me at SunnyLuCards@gmail.com and I will get one out to you!

Are you in the West Michigan area? Are you interested in joining a Stamp Club? My plan is to have the Stamp Club meet once a month on the first Friday of the month from 1-4pm. At this meeting members would learn new techniques and make at least 3 cards or 3D projects.

All 6 members would commit to a 6 month period. Each person would agree to order at least $25 of products each month. Every month one member would be the hostess and would get these hostess benefits. Which would be at least $15 worth of free products. The amount of free products you would earn depends on how much the club members order.

Would this interest you? Do you have any Stamping friends that might join us? Call 616-490-1731 or email me today

Now about my card project of the day! I had a wonderful time playing with one of the new stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog called Illuminated Christmas (wood 147836/ clear 147833). I love this new Christmas set-both the images and sentiments. The sentiments represent the true meaning of Christmas- Christ’s birth! I am so glad Stampin’ Up! has such great sets.

Making this card was fun! My color combination for the card was Poppy Parade (ink 147050/ card stock 119793), Whisper White (100730), Gorgeous Grape (ink 147099/ card stock 146987), Daffodil Delight (ink 147094/ card stock 119683), Balmy Blue (ink 147103/ card stock 146982), and Pineapple Punch (ink 147141/ card stock 146971).

I cut a 4 1/4″ X 11″ piece of Poppy Parade (119793) card stock for the card base. I stamped a flower from the Illuminated Christmas stamp set (wood 147836/ clear 147833) on the edges of the front of the card base with Real Red ink (147084). I cut a 3″ X 4 1/2″ piece of Gorgeous Grape (146987) card stock for the first layer. I cut a 2 3/4″ X 4 1/4″ of Whisper White (100730) for the front and 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece for the inside.

I love to color so I decided to stamp the Whisper White (100730) card stock with the Star and the Wisemen from the Illuminated Christmas (wood 147836/ clear 147833) stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black (132708). I used a rainbow of Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to color the images. The colors I used include Dark Daffodil Delight (144585) and Light Pineapple Punch (147029) to color the Star and details on the Wisemen. I used Light (146881) and Dark (146883) Highland Heather (combo pack 147276) and Light (146878) and Dark (146879) Poppy Parade (combo pack 147275) for the Wisemen’s robes. The Wisemen faces are colored in Light Petal Pink (146866) and Light Crumb Cake (144582) and their hair is colored with Light Smoky Slate (145054), Light Crumb Cake (144582) and Light Calypso Coral (144042).

I thought the white of Whisper White (100730) was too stark so I decided to lightly daub the surface with Stamping Sponges (141337) around the images with Balmy Blue ink (146982).  I attached the Gorgeous Grape (146987) mat and the Whisper White (100730) front to the card base on the lower right edge. I cut a small rectangle of Whisper White (100730) with my trusty Big Shot (143263) and an old die with stitching around the edges for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Illuminated Christmas (wood 147836/ clear 147833) on the label, sponged the label with Gorgeous Grape ink (147099), and attached the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

I attached the inner layer of Whisper White card stock (100730) and stamped the inside with a sentiment from Illuminated Christmas (wood 147836/ clear 147833) using Memento Tuxedo Black (132708). I surrounded the sentiment with a flower stamped with Real Red (147084).

I am happy with how this turned out. The colorful Wisemen look very royal I think and the star looks good with a glowing center. All the star needs is some clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897). I have some coming in my next Stampin’ Up! order so I will add that when the order comes! What do you think? Do you think that would be the finishing touch?

Do you have a question that I could answer for you? Some technique you would like to see?? Do you have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator yet? I would love to be your Demonstrator!! My 24/7 online Stampin’ Up! shop is available or just email or call me (6161-490-1731) with what you want to order. I plan to put an order in today-so call now!
