Hi Friends,

Today I have a wonderful Country Christmas card to share- complete with a Farmhouse, decorated white picket fence, and a cute little dachshund puppy with a Christmas sweater!

Color Combination

My multi-color combination for my card today is Early Expresso (ink 147114/ card stock (119686), Gray Granite (ink 147118 /card stock 146983, Whisper White (100730), Crumb Cake (ink 147116 /card stock 120953), Poppy Parade (ink 147050/ card stock  119793) with dashes of Shaded Spruce, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive.

Card Recipe: begin cutting

I began my card by cutting my Early Expresso (119686) card base 4 1/4″ X 11″ and I also cut a 2 3/4″ X 4 1/2″ piece of Early Expresso (119686) card stock. Next, I cut two pieces of Whisper White (100730) card stock 4″ X 5 1/4″ and one piece of Crumb Cake (120953) card stock 2 1/2″ X 4 1/4″.

I used my Stamparatus (146276) to stamp one of the 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White (100730) card stock using the Buffalo Check clear stamp (147794) and Gray Granite ink (147118). I stamped the piece three times to get the color I wanted. With the Stamparatus (146276) stamping at the same spot each time is easy. i got a clear dark, distinct stamp just like I wanted.

Stamparatus Accessories now Available

The Stamparatus (146276) is also really nice when you are using Tuxedo black Memento ink (132708) and are stamping a sentiment! Recently Stampin’ Up has  added a new Stamparatus accessories bundle (151049). the accessories can be purchased separately or as a bundle. I plan on investing in another set of Stamparatus plates (149693). My reasoning is that I can stamp my whole card without having to remove my stamps-just by changing the plates. Check out the details on my 24/7 online Stampin’ Up! Shop here.

Time to Use some more Ink

Next, I stamped my tree from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set (148478) on to a scrap of Whisper White card stock (100730) using Gray Granite ink (147118). I thought the tree looked too stark and white so I sponged (141337) some Gray Granite ink (147118) on the tree to give it color and texture. I liked it much better that way. Then I stamped the house from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set (148478) on the Crumb Cake card stock (120953) with Early Expresso ink (147114).

Time to Color

I used Tuxedo black Memento ink (132708) to stamp the Dachshund from the Ready for Christmas stamp set (144823) and the wreath from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set (148478) on to scraps of Whisper White card stock (100730). I used Memento because I wanted to color with my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. I used Light Shaded Spruce (147936) and light Poppy Parade (146878) Stampin’ Blends on the wreath. On the Dachshund, I used the colors Light (144582) and Dark (144581) Crumb Cake on the dog. The dachshund’s sweater has light (146878) Poppy Parade, light (144574) Old Olive, and Dark Daffodil Delight (144585) Stampin” Blends.

Big Shot Time

I have so much fun using my Big Shot (143263) and dies! I love the 3D effect die-cuts give to my cards. I used the Farmhouse Framelit Dies (147922) to cut out the tree, the dachshund, the wreath, the pretty Whisper White (100730) picket fence, and the tiny red Poppy Parade (119793) bows for the fence.

Putting it all Together

Now I get to put the card together! I attached the “gingham check” looking 1st layer with Snail Adhesive (104332). Hmmm… I wonder how the card would look using Poppy Parade ink with the Buffalo Check clear (147794) stamp on this layer! (Buffalo Check wood mount 147797

I attached one of the 4″ X 5 1/4″ pieces of Whisper White inside the card. Then, I attached the Early Expresso and Crumb Cake layers. Next, I applied Snail Adhesive (104332) to the tree using my trusty release paper to catch the extra adhesive. I used a mini Stampin’ Dimensional (144108) (which are 10% off right now!) to attach the wreath to the house. I attached the fence and bows using Snail Adhesive. Finally, I attached the puppy. Yay! all done!

oops I forgot my sentiment. I initially thought I would stamp directly on to the Buffalo Check layer but decided to stamp “From Our Home to Yours” From the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set (148478) on a scrap of Whisper White card stock. I kept trimming the strip down until I was happy with it! I attached the strip with Snail Adhesive. I also stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set inside the card: “Thoughts of Happiness and Joy to you and yours”. there, now it is really done.

Hi Friends,

Today’s card is a “Thinking of You” card. I was thinking of non-wintery ways of using some of the new November 2018 Snowflake Showcase items and these flowers are what resulted. This card was made for my friend who lost her mom recently.

Snowflake Showcase: Available on November 1st

While Supplies Last

The Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Showcase becomes available on November 1, 2018 and includes the items pictured below. On the left is the Snowflakes are Glistening (149742) stamp set and on the right is the Snowfall Thinlits (149692) Die set. These two sets were used to make today’s card.

More Snowflake Showcase Items

Here are a couple more items from the Snowflake Showcase November Special! The picture on the left shows the Snowflake Trinkets (149620) and on the right is the Happiness Surrounds Stamp Set (149744). Another item that will be available is White Velvet paper (149619). Remember all these items become available on November 1st and are available while supplies last or until November 30th.

Color Combination of Today’s Card

Today’s pastel color combination is made up of Whisper White (100730), Balmy Blue (ink 147105/card stock 146982), and Petal Pink ((ink 147108 /card stock  146985).

Card Recipe: Cutting

I started out with a 4 1/4″ X 11″ Petal Pink (146985) card base. I scored and folded at the 5 1/2″ mark. Then I trimmed off 1 1/4″ off the bottom of the front of the card. I cut a 3 3/4″ X 4 3/4″piece of Balmy Blue (146982) card stock and a 3″ X 4 1/4″ piece of Whisper White (100730). I cut a 2 3/4″ X 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock for the center. I also cut a 1 1/4″ X 4″ strip of 6X6 Subtles Designer Series Paper (DSP) (146966).

Big Shot

Next I used my trusty Big Shot (143263) and the Snowfall Thinlits (149692) Dies set. I cut out the pictured shapes from scraps of Petal Pink (146985) and Balmy Blue (146982) card stock. I especially like the lacey flower on the lower central flower. I used the Snow is Glistening (149742) stamp set to stamp the snowflake centers of the Petal Pink( 146985) flowers with Balmy Blue (147105) ink. I layered the flowers using Snail Adhesive.

Final Touches

I put the flowers together with the lovely swirls from the Stylish Christmas (clear 146773/ wood mount 146770) stamp set. I stamped the swirls in Balmy Blue (147105) ink. Then I layered the Whisper White layer with the Balmy Blue layer using Snail Adhesive (104332). I attached the two layers to the card base leaving an even amount of petal Pink card base around the three top sides.

I attached the top two flowers with Snail adhesive (104332) and the bottom flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430). I applied the Whisper White (100730) piece of card stock to the middle of the card and then the DSP strip to the bottom of the inside of the card. I finished with small blue gems to the middle of the flowers.

Do you like my Snowflake flowers? Aren’t these sets awesome!! Call or email me today and I will put you down for a set. I will place the order for you on November 1st! Otherwise the new items will be on my 24/7 online shop on November 1st! Don’t hesitate or they may sell out!

Snowfall Christmas Card

(Image © [2018] Stampin’ Up!®)
Hi Friends

Today I have another Christmas card for you. This card is made using the leftovers from Monday’s card. The front of the card is made up of a piece of Whisper White (100730) card stock that was made by cutting out the largest snowflake from the new “Snowfall Thinlits” (149692) die set.

Snowflake Sets coming out in November

This die set is coming out on November 1st and will only be available from Stampin’ Up! in November 2018. I used the new stamp set “Snow is Glistening” (149742) to stamp the images and sentiment.

Color Combination

My card for today is a simple two color card. This Christmas card uses only Blueberry Bushel (ink 147138 /card stock 146968) and Whisper White (100730).

Card Recipe

I started with a 4 1/4″ X 11″ card base of Blueberry Bushel (146968) card stock.  When I made my card from Monday, I purposefully placed the largest snow flake die on to a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White (100730) so that it was near the top and so that there would be an even border on the top three sides.

Next, I stamped four of the snowflake clusters from the Snow is Glistening (149742) stamp set using Blueberry Bushel ink (147138). I placed the four stamped snowflake clusters all around the opening in the card stock. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the card using Blueberry Bushel ink (147138). I taped this piece of Whisper White (100730) card stock to the card base using Snail Adhesive (104332).

Heat Embossing

I love the effect of heat embossed images! They add such elegance to a card with very little effort! When heat embossing always remember to use your Embossing Buddy (103083) prior to stamping with Versamark ink (102283) so you don’t get those extra little clumps of embossing powder (109132) where the powder is not supposed to be.

Embossing Buddy

I rubbed my embossing buddy (103083) over the surface on which I planned to stamp. I used clear Versamark ink (102283) to stamp the medium snowflake in the center of the opening. I applied white embossing powder over the stamped image and flicked off the excess. I let my embossing heat tool (129053) warm up and then applied heat to the embossed snowflake until the powder melts and looks shiny.

What do You think?

I love that I was able to get two cards by planning my cutting! What do you think? Do you like it? Let me know in the comments below. Are you looking for a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? I would love to be that person. Let me know if you would like an Annual or Holiday catalog by emailing your name and mailing address to Shop anytime at my 24/7 online Stampin’ Up! Shop here
